THE hours are long, you work a full day week and you must have started or finished a diploma or university degree before you even think about applying.
Oh and it’s an unpaid internship.
The White House is advertising for next year’s internship program and it’s quite a process to apply.
You must also be able to illustrate their qualifications, character, and commitment to public service.
You’ll also need two glowing letters from people recommending you’re up for the job.
Not only are you expected to give up three months of your working life, but you also must move to Washington, be over 18 years of age and a US citizen.
According to the job description the successful applicant must work “at least” from 9am-6pm Monday to Friday.
While you don’t necessarily need to be a member of the Republican Party, the job does ask “that applicants are dedicated to the ideals and mission of the White House.”
The White House tweeted the job was up for grabs and it didn’t take long for Twitter to respond.
Some people appeared to be enthusiastic about the role.
What an honor! I wish I could be apart of this- amazing experience with a great administration!!

Early estimates show that Internship program will have far fewer respondents than in earlier, pre-Trump periods! President Obama wins again!
