Uber is delivering adorable puppies for $38
OFFICE pets are so supposed to do wonders for morale, stress levels and employee health. And now you can rent a puppy for 15 minutes at a time. Seriously cute.
YOU know what would have made your day at work infinitely better?
15 minutes of playtime with a puppy. An adorable, adorable puppy.
For $38, Uber will deliver a puppy to your office to play with. After 15 minutes, the puppy goes onto its next appointment, giving you all the fun without the hassle of taking it for a walk and feeding it.
Repeated studies have shown that pets in the office have a positive effect on workplace morale, stress levels and employee health.
Unfortunately for Australians, it seems unlikely that puppy deliveries are coming anytime soon to your workplace. Uber is only delivering puppies in 10 American cities including Los Angeles, Phoenix, Cleveland and Seattle.
The stunt is part of a partnership with cable channel Animal Planet who runs an annual Puppy Bowl at the same time as the Super Bowl. If you’ve never seen Puppy Bowl before, do yourself a favour and check it out.
All puppies are coming from local animal shelters and can be adopted if 15 minutes isn’t long enough. All proceeds from the puppy deliveries will be donated to the American Humane Society.
It’s not the first time Uber has brought cute animals to its customers. Last year, it ran an UberKitten promotion in New York City and demand was so high, it led to a shortage of kittens.
