San Francisco tour guide’s shocking racist rant
It was her last day on the job and this tour guide decided to unleash a shocking racist tirade. WARNING: STRONG LANGUAGE
TALK about burning bridges.
Usually a person’s last day at work involves a cake, a tasteful gift bought with a pass-around envelope full of $5 notes, some awkward speeches and promises to “drop in and say ‘hi’ to everyone” when the departing employee is in the area.
Not this woman.
On her last day of work, this San Francisco tour guide instead chose to go on an expletive-ridden racist tirade — beer in hand — about how much she hates Chinatown.
In the two-and-a-half-minute video uploaded to YouTube, the woman uses the ‘f’ word no fewer than 29 times to describe her hatred of everything from the crowds to the salons to the preschoolers “making all that noise when I was trying to live here”.
WARNING: EXTREME LANGUAGE
“F**k your little herb gardens, f**k your little seafood f****ing markets with your turtles and your frogs inside. When you come to America you gotta assimilate a little bit,” she says.
“We don’t eat turtles and frogs, okay, but they gotta bring that here to America. There’s a limit. You gotta assimilate a little bit, Chinatown.”
She goes on: “F**k your laundry hanging out the windows, f**k your noise, f**k your parades, f**k your dragons, f**k this shit, f**k Chinatown.”
And on: “F**k your horse tail and your ginseng. F**k your little hair salons where no one knows how to speak English. F**k your Chinatown gates. F**k your jade — nobody wears jade anymore”.
At one point the crowd awkwardly applauds, before the woman reassures everyone that she’s “not a racist”.
The video has attracted more than 5000 views and sparked an overwhelmingly negative reaction to the woman’s tirade.
As Lawrence Walsh tells Jack Nicholson’s character at the end of Roman Polanski’s classic film: “Forget it, Jake. It’s Chinatown.”
She should give it a try.
