SALIM’s companies are in administration and creditors are owned millions but he’s still found time to have a flutter at the boxing match of the year.

HIS companies are in administration with creditors owed millions. But that didn’t stop property developer Salim Mehajer jetting off to the US on the weekend and bragging about winning big at the Conor McGregor vs. Floyd Mayweather clash.

The one time deputy mayor of Auburn council flew out of Sydney last week following strict bail conditions for an ongoing electoral fraud case being relaxed so he could leave the country.

He was in the US on business but what would an overseas jaunt be without a little downtime?

Mr Mehajer soon popped up at the Las Vegas fight gloating about his good fortune on social media.

An Instagram story showed him ringside at the event.

“I couldn’t have asked for a much better Gift then [sic] this! To me, it was a gift from God” he gushed.

He was so close to the ropes, he said, he could have been a judge.

This was followed by a video of a cashier diligently dealing out pile upon pile of 100 dollar bills. There would easily have been several thousand dollars laid out before the camera.

A caption accompanying the video said, “Thanks Floyd.”

Mr Mehajer’s gloating about the winnings may leave a bitter taste in the mouth of his creditors who are reportedly owed almost $100m.

Earlier this month, Mr Mehajer lost a legal battle to prevent two of his companies from falling into administration.

He had argued the administrators hadn’t been properly appointed. But the judge threw out the appeal in just minutes.

Creditors were seeking more than $97 million from the companies but they reportedly only had about $32,000 in the bank.

The appeal was dismissed by the NSW Court of after Mr Mehajer’s barrister agreed the challenge could not succeed on a crucial issue.

Mr Mehajer has put his Lidcombe home up for rent. But he remains bullish his debts will be repaid.

“As any development company it’s asset rich and one settlement is in place, which we’ve already received over 110 per cent of the debt cover,” Channel 9 reported him as saying.

“We anticipate having settlement in the next two weeks and seeing all the creditors have been paid in full.”
