Research finds getting sex a few times a week means you get paid more at work

SEX is the key to a bigger pay check, but not in the way you might think.

IF you ever needed more reason to have more sex then this is it.

A new study has found people who have sex a few times a week earn 4.5 per cent more than their less sexually active colleagues.

For the purpose of the study, researchers from Anglia Ruskin University studied responses from 7500 people to determine the effect of sexual activity on wages.

Lead researcher Dr Nick Drydakis said the results showed sex definitely has an impact on your pay packet.

“The vast medical and psychological literature concludes that sexual activity is associated with good health and improved physical and mental capacities, psychological wellbeing and dietary habits,” he told the Daily Beast.

“Maslow’s Need Hierarchy Theory claims that the happier and more fulfilled individuals are in their lives, the more productive and successful they will be in their work, translating to higher wages.

“The theory concludes that people need to love and be loved, sexually and non-sexually, by others.

“In the absence of these elements, people may become susceptible to loneliness, social anxiety and depression — all factors that can affect their working life.”

The study has been published in the International Journal of Manpower.
