Newcastle man dead after industrial ‘road rage attack’, colleague charged
A MAN is dead and his colleague faces manslaughter charges after an alleged industrial ‘road rage’ attack.
A man has died and another is facing serious charges after an apparent ‘road rage’ incident on an industrial estate near Newcastle.
The 45-year-old man died in hospital on Tuesday shortly after he was found unconscious at an industrial site in Sandgate, the Newcastle Herald reports.
Witnesses told police the argument started after a minor crash between a forklift and a truck at Crawfords Freightlines.
A 44-year-old man, believed to a colleague, was arrested at the scene and charged with assault causing death.
He was refused bail and will appear in Newcastle local court on Wednesday.
The company has reportedly suffered a number of workplace incidents in recent years, and a contractor died on the site last month.
