A series of horror accidents have occurred at Queensland workplaces, with one man becoming caught in machinery at a sugar mill.

At least four incidents have transpired at workplaces across the Sunshine State in the past two days, all involving men aged in their 20s-60s.

At 11.20am on Wednesday, a man in his 50s suffered chest injuries at a motor vehicle manufacturing business in Stapylton after he became “stuck between two pieces of machinery”.

The man was “jammed” between a tank and another piece of machinery at the site.

He was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition, a Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) spokesperson said.

The first of the incidents occurred just before 8am on Tuesday in Proserpine, where a man in his 20s was “caught in machinery” at a sugar mill.

One of his arms became stuck in the machinery and he suffered a “crush injury”, according to a QAS spokesperson.

The man was taken to Proserpine Hospital in a stable condition.

About 8am, a man in his 60s suffered a head injury after falling two metres from a ladder at an office on Bailey Mountain Rd in the Gold Coast.

He was taken to Gold Cost University Hospital in a serious condition, QAS confirmed.

It is not known why the man was on the ladder.

A short time later, about 8.30am, a man in his 50s was involved in a workplace incident at Mount Cotton in the Redland area.

The man was connecting the brakes of a trailer when they released, a QAS spokesperson said.

The man tried to jump out of the way but one of his legs was “run over” by the trailer.

He was subsequently transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition.
