A man is lucky to be alive after becoming trapped in a grain silo in Queensland’s Central Highlands.
A man is lucky to be alive after becoming trapped in a grain silo in Queensland’s Central Highlands.
The incident happened on a rural property in Arcturus this morning around 9.15am.
Rescuers used cutting equipment on the roof of the silo in an attempt to free him.

Police said the grain had already been removed from the silo, but the man remained stuck under the roof.

A spokesperson for Queensland Ambulance said the man had been removed from the silo and airlifted to Rockhampton Hospital in a stable condition and is being treated for “serious leg injuries”.
Last year, another Queensland farmer survived falling into a silo, where he was trapped up to his neck in grain.
