Australia Post delivery worker applauded for cheeky reaction to woman’s huge online order

An Australia Post worker has left dozens cackling with his cheeky reaction to the size of a woman’s online bedding order from Spotlight.

An Australia Post employee has won an army of fans after making a cheeky remark while delivering items purchased in a woman’s huge shopping spree.

An Aussie mum on Wednesday shared the heartwarming exchange she had with her postie when he arrived at her home with several packages from Spotlight.

She had made use of the retailer’s special offers over the weekend and splurged on an array of bedding across multiple orders.

While any other postie may have been less than impressed with the mammoth task of delivering her new things, the man assigned to the job wasn’t the least bit fazed.

He even went so far as to thank the mum for the opportunity.

She revealed his response to her hefty order in a post to Facebook, describing his reaction “so funny”.

“He walks up to the door [and says] ‘Good morning, I’d love to say these are the only two for you this morning, but I’ll have to do a couple of trips. Thank you for the workout.’”

The woman said she had “made multiple orders from Spotlight over the weekend to make the most of free shipping and the $40 off”.

Her household was overdue for some new bedding and winter sheets, she explained.

The postie’s cheeky remark was applauded dozens of other shopaholics online.

“That’s hilarious. He sounds good value,” one person wrote in a comment.

“Love your postie’s sense of humour,” another said.

“Love it. I did the same and the postman is exhausted,” a third wrote.

Others shared kind ways their parcel deliverers had gone the extra mile for them.

“My postie is the same. Calls me my name and if boxes are heavy tells me to open the door and he will put them on the dining table,” one wrote.

“I love our courier! During lockdown, he’d hide the packages behind his back walking up to our door, knock, ask if my husband’s home and then say, ‘Quick, quick hide them,’” another said.
