Anna Khramtsova wins National Guard beauty contest

She’s got a law degree and knows how to handle a gun “calmly” — and now Anna Khramtsova has something else to add to her resume.

Venezuela crisis: Vladimir Putin has flown Russian troops into the country

Anna Khramtsova is a mother of one with a law degree and experience on the police force under her belt.

And she’s just been named as the most beautiful member of the 340,000-strong Russian National Guard, which was established by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The 31-year-old recently won a coveted beauty contest within the Russian military force, beating more than 1000 other contenders.

Ms Khramtsova, who is married, said she came from a military family and was honoured to continue that tradition — even in the face of sexism in the force.

“I am proud to continue the dynasty,” she said.

“I do get to hear those old jokes about blonds in service, but I ignore them — and just serve stylishly.”

The former police officer, who also previously studied law, lives in Yekaterinburg and is a skilled shooter.

“Most important is to pull the gun out calmly, to aim and breathe out,” she explained, adding she matched her manicure to her gun.

Ms Khramtsova revealed she was now training for a bikini contest after being “pushed into it” by colleagues and friends.

As part of the military beauty contest, she and other contestants uploaded their “best pictures” and biographies before 57,000 Russians voted for their pick.

A dozen of the finalists will feature in a 2020 calendar for the national guard, the internal military force of the Russian government that works on border security, gun control, counter terrorism and public order.

Ms Khramtsova’s new title comes months after a woman known as Germany’s “hottest cop” made headlines after receiving an official warning over her racy bikini photos.

Adrienne Koleszar, a police officer from Dresden and a social media star, has managed to amass a 645,000-strong following on social media in recent years.

Her Instagram feed is filled with photos of the 34-year-old in bikinis and workout gear as well as snaps of her enjoying exotic locations all over the world.

Ms Koleszar, who was named “the most beautiful policewoman in Germany” in 2016, was granted six-months unpaid leave from her job, which she spent travelling the globe.
