An eastern suburbs agent had a $50m sales spree, which included the former Darling Point home of ex-Qantas boss Geoff Dixon that’s sold for even more than it did a year ago.
An eastern suburbs agent had a $50m sales spree over the past month, which included the former Darling Point home of ex-Qantas boss Geoff Dixon that’s sold for even more than it did a year ago.
Manning, who recently joined Highland Double Bay Malouf from McGrath, had a revised price guide of $16.5m for the two-level five-bedroom pad with iconic harbour views at 1/44 New Beach Rd.
Although he was silent on the result, other sources said it was above $16m.
Property developer Robert Pagliuso of Trend Living and his interior designer wife, Leify, have only owned the luxury pad for a year, having bought it for $11.15m.
But they have completely gutted it, redesigning the interiors courtesy of Burley Katon Halliday.

There were originally ambitious hopes of up to $20m when the redesigned apartment was first offered to the market on March 30.
But even at $16m+ the couple have more than paid for their expensive reno.
They had decided that the apartment wasn’t big enough for them, since they have two children.
Manning’s other sales include a spectacular eight-bedroom home with uninterrupted ocean views at 42 Gardyne St, Bronte. He couldn’t discuss the price due to a confidentiality agreement, though its rumoured to have sold for more than $20m.
He’d been guiding $22m.
Other significant deals during the month included 5/64 Chaleyer St, Rose Bay; 126 Underwood St, Paddington; and 124 Underwood St, Paddington. The three properties sold for a total of circa $10 million.
Manning, known as a good negotiator over his career of 25 years, says the prestige market continues to be strong in Sydney’s east.
“Demand for high-end properties is showing no signs of slowing down, despite a softening across the broader market in Sydney,” Manning said.
“Properties that are well presented in prime locations are still sought after and attracting premium prices.”
