Landscape designer Will Dangar has sold his striking Bondi semi Bismarck House for $6.2m — $700,000 over the price guide — as another designer semi nearby has returned to market with a $6.4m guide.

Dangar’s four-bedroom terrace at 36 Denham St had a $5.5m guide but sold quickly via Alexander Phillips of PPD.

The landscaper and his wife, Julia, had bought for $2.44m in 2017 but rebuilt three years ago calling on the services of Andrew Burges for the house while Dangar worked his magic with the garden. It’s been operating as a highly successful Airbnb.

Meanwhile, a five-bedroom residence at 30 Denham St, redesigned by interior designer Chloe Matters, has returned to market, just two years after it sold for a record-breaking $6,225,000.

Matters had bought the original semi on the block for $2.7m in 2019, did a $720,000 renovation and sold it through Joshua Allen of JT Allen Real Estate.

Allen is continuing to keep mum about the purchaser, though title records show it to be Dale Brett, founder and CEO at data company Flo.

Allen has picked up the plum listing again, who has an auction scheduled for September 5.

Described as a “Mediterranean-inspired coastal sanctuary”, which has three bathrooms and off-street parking for two cars, it’s full of natural light, with an open-plan living, dining and kitchen area.

Glass doors open to a pool, Olive tree feature, built-in barbecue and pizza oven. There’s even an outdoor shower.

The kitchen features a central island bar and high-end gas cooktop.

Four of the five bedrooms have built-in wardrobes. One of the bedrooms, with a built-in desk, currently serves as an office.

The master wing has an ensuite and seven-metre walk-in wardrobe.
