US President Joe Biden’s son Hunter chasing his dream with new home and studio
US President Joe Biden’s controversial son Hunter is spending up big chasing his dreams.
Budding artist Hunter Biden is spending up big chasing his dreams, throwing down $27,000 a month – more than $1.4 million a year – on a luxe Californian rental with a studio.
US President Joe Biden’s son has courted controversy through much of his father’s time in the White House, including when his father was working in the Obama Administration.
And that hasn’t stopped with his latest foray into art.
Biden jnr has ambitiously priced paintings of his ‘blow art’ as high as $US500,000 ($A677,000), so if the buyers are out there he won’t have too much trouble paying the rent on this incredible Malibu pad, which boasts a stylised art studio.

The New York Post reports, Hunter Biden and his South African wife Melissa Cohen have just moved into the home, which was listed for lease for US$20,000 a month, with their one-year-old son Beau.
The 1000 sqm property, which is protected by the secret service, boasts four bedrooms and two bathrooms and was bought for US$3.34m two years ago.
According to listings platform Realtor.com, the home has an open floor plan, solid oak floors, French doors and 180-degree views of the Pacific Ocean, in the sought-after location just outside of Los Angeles proper.
It also features a well-appointed kitchen, an indoor/outdoor living room with pocket doors, a vaulted ceiling and a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace.
Outside, to enjoy the warm Californian weather, the home’s entertaining area has a stone patio, a built-in barbecue and a pool with a Baja shelf and a hot tub.
According to The Post, Biden jnr wakes up at 5am each day, makes himself a coffee before heading out to the garage, which has been converted into an art studio with a tabletop for painting.
The studio occupies a converted three-car garage with a brick floor and a skylight.
Hunter Biden now counts Pink as a neighbour, after the music superstar also recently moved into sought-after Malibu.
