Travis Kelce has set the record straight about the recent online rumours about himself.

Last month, reports surfaced that the NFL pro, 35, bought a $US3.3 million ($A5.3 million) home near his own $US6 million ($9.6 million) Leawood, Kansas, mansion, with the non-profit organisation Foster Love.

According to Sports Illustrated, the Kansas City Chiefs star snapped up the property in order to turn it into a transitional living facility for homeless youth.

However, the post shared by Foster Love praising Kelce’s generosity has since been deleted, Realtor reports.

The sporting sensation addressed the claims during the latest episode of his podcast, “New Heights”, which he hosts with his brother, Jason.

“I gotta make a little statement in the ‘don’t believe everything you read, kids’ category or nice realm that you see online,” he said.

“Some false claims were thrown out there that I was doing something in the community that I was not, and I’m not even gonna talk about it specifically.

“I don’t want to bring any more attention to that whole nonsense and article and all that stuff.”

Kelce noted that if fans “ever want to know exactly what I’m doing in the community, just go to 87running.org,” he said of his 87 & Running Foundation.

“We’re always trying to get out there in and get in the Kansas City communities and the Cleveland community,” he continued.

“But this time, I wasn’t doing what was falsely claimed by the social channels or the outlets posting all this A.I. stuff. So, just wanted to set the record straight.”

The original report suggesting that Kelce had purchased a property in which to house homeless youngsters claimed that the dwelling in question offered six bedrooms, five bathrooms, a game room, a study area, a patio, and a garden.

Kelce has long been an active member of the community in and around Kansas City — establishing multiple charitable programs, many of which target the youth.

His main residence is located in Leawood, a leafy suburb of Kansas City that is located about 20 minutes from Arrowhead Stadium, where the Chiefs host their home games.

Kelce bought that dwelling in 2023, paying $US6 million ($A9.5 million), a discount from the original $US6.9 million asking price.

Since he moved in, the tight end has made multiple updates to the property, including the addition of an underground man cave, which he is understood to have broken ground on in late 2024.

The house already features six bedrooms, six bathrooms, a chef’s kitchen, a formal dining room, a media lounge, a wine cellar, and a full bar.

A pool sits outside alongside manicured lawns. Nearby, there’s an outdoor kitchen, tennis and pickleball court, waterfall, hot tub, and miniature golf course.

Part of a gated community, the grand estate sits on nearly 3.5 acres at the end of a cul-de-sac.

The mansion is far more secluded than his other home in Kansas City, a mansion in the Briarcliff West neighbourhood that he purchased for $US995,000 in 2019.

Taylor Swift has paid several visits to the home since her relationship with Kelce began — while he has also been a guest at a number of her homes.

In January, it was revealed that one of those homes, an $US18 million Rhode Island estate that Swift snapped up in 2013, recently underwent some work of its own, with records revealing that the “All Too Well” hit maker had drawn up plans to expand the property with an additional bedroom.

The residence — which is located in the exclusive enclave of Watch Hill in Westerly and is known locally as “Holiday House” — originally boasted 11,000 square feet of living space, including seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms.

Her planned work was understood to be adding 400 square feet of space to the home, while also transforming one of the existing rooms into an “enlarged bedroom suite.”
