Tania Buckley relists Toorak mansion bought with Nathan Buckley before split with $1m slashed from asking price

Tania Buckley, ex-wife to former Collingwood captain and AFL great Nathan Buckley, has put her Toorak home back on the market after a 100-day hiatus. And it’s had a major price drop.

Tania Buckley has relisted her Toorak mansion with a more than $1m price cut, almost 100 days after pulling it from the market.

The ex-wife to Collingwood great and Brownlow Medallist Nathan Buckley first put the striking, Tudor-style residence up for sale in March with a $16.8m-$18m price guide.

After more than 100 days on the market, and with international buyers circling but yet to make an offer, the property was pulled from sale in winter.

It has now been relisted for sale with a $15m-$16.5m asking price just in time for Halloween, with Kay & Burton agents working on it noting international parties eyeing the property were more inclined to travel to Melbourne in the warmer months.

Head of the firm’s international division Jamie Mi said the home appealed to a range of well-off international parties, most of whom would pay cash for the eight-figure property and take possession of the home in as little as 30 days.

“In a nutshell, any home in Toorak or Stonnington above $15m, it’s usually a cash buyer and a very quick settlement,” Ms Mi said.

“So hopefully there will be a Christmas gift.”

The five-bedroom house is being billed as an executive residence and comes with a 500-bottle glass-walled wine cellar next to the kitchen, extensive natural light thanks to a rear courtyard that the home wraps around and has had its living spaces shaped by Interior Interior studio boss Simone Aiello.

The 1233sq m property also has a pool at the rear, two kitchenettes in addition to the main kitchen which is centred on an expansive travertine island bench.

New photos of the home show it surrounded by spring greenery, but no significant changes to the interior.

In 2007, the Buckley’s bought the home for $3.92m from the Swiss Government, who had housed their consul Peter Casaulta at the property for a number of years.

The former AFL power couple separated in 2020.

Nathan Buckley is a former Collingwood Football Club captain who played with the Magpies from 1994-2007, and was in the coaching box for the Magpies from 2012-2021.

He was also a contestant on I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here in 2022.

Since separating from her former husband, Tania Buckley has supported her sons Jett and Ayce as they race go-karts, and has been linked to business man and motorsports enthusiast Marco Kelly.
