This humble outback shack is the cheapest home for sale in the Territory.

Sitting on 832 sqm at 41 Millar Tce, Pine Creek, the property is up for grabs for offers over $120,000.

That’s $445,000 below the average Darwin house.

So what will $120,000 get you in Pine Creek?

According to the listing, a “gently elevated property” awaiting a “visionary touch”.

The house has three bedrooms, all with ceiling fans and built-in wardrobes, and a family bathroom with combined shower and bath, plus a toilet.

There is an open plan kitchen and dining space – again with ceiling fans – and a living area with box airconditioner – though the exact functionality of said aircon is not specified.

There property even comes with a tiled internal laundry but it appears the wall tiles may need some work.

Outside, the home has a front deck and a side carport, and it is on what appears to be a fenced block.

Property records show the house was built in 1980 and last sold for $135,000, though old listing photos show the home was a little less ‘well used’ back then.

Pine Creek sits about 90km north of Katherine and 226km south of Darwin.

It has a population of roughly 300 people and is also home to a pub with cafe, two petrol stations, a couple of motels and a tavern/caravan park.

There’s also a school and police station.

Incredibly the town has two museums – The Shed, which houses an impressive vehicle collection ranging from Harleys to classic Holdens, and the Pine Creek National Trust Museum, which has artefacts from the town’s history including WWII items.

And 41 Millar Tce is walking distance to pretty much all the town has to offer.

The property is on the market through Alison Ross and Emily Deeth of Elders Real Estate Katherine.
