The Woollahra residence of Daniel Hausman has been listed for sale.

The property developer is one of the alleged beneficiaries of the biggest tax fraud in Australian history.

The Woollahra property was bought for $3.25 million in 2016, solely in the name of his partner, Jessica van Schreven. However, a restricting court order was lodged on the property title in May 2017, after Hausman’s arrest. The court is overseeing the sale.

The three-bedroom sandstone terrace has gardens with a pond on its 280sqm Wallis St block. Phillips Pantzer Donnelley agent Anthony Puntigam has scheduled a July 6 auction.

Hausman is among those facing charges after a scam allegedly involving $100 million-plus in taxes being skimmed from the Australian Taxation Office through underpaid payroll taxes.

Hausman has been charged with blackmailing the Plutus alleged syndicate ring leader, Adam Cranston. He is alleged to have used some of the laundered money to buy his Woollahra mansion.

“It’s the way I sorted my house so it’s all safe,” Hausman said on taped intercepts presented to the Supreme Court. “It comes back nice and f...ing squeaky clean.” There’s no suggestion of any wrongdoing involving Jessica van Schreven.

Hausman, who told a court hearing last August he had no occupation and couldn’t earn money since the arrest, had previously hit the headlines as one of the last to speak to Michael McGurk, at the Lord Dudley pub, Paddington, several hours before his 2009 murder.
