One of few remaining houses overlooking Kiama Beach is for sale
One of the last freestanding homes remaining near the Kiama Surf Beach has hit the market, and with an appealing price guide it is set to be popular.
A charming four-bedroom beach shack located opposite the main beach in Kiama is for sale.
It is the only freestanding property located on Bong Bong St and is one of only a handful of freestanding homes dotted around the beach.
On the market with a $1.65 million-$1.75 million guide, Raine and Horne Kiama agent Robert Perea said it is the last of its kind.

“Usually to buy in this location you have to look for an apartment,” he said.
“The price guide represents good value considering an apartment with the same amount of bedrooms sell for upwards of $1.7 million.”
The circa 1850s home at 1 Bong Bong St is located beside sporting fields at Church Point. It also has direct access to the beach via a footpath.
The current owners are selling the property after purchasing it in 2015, according to CoreLogic. Mr Perea said they have been running a successful holiday letting business at the house.
So far the majority of interest is coming from those looking to live at the property permanently and from those looking to rent it out.
The renovated interiors combine historic appeal with modern design. It has high ceilings, white washed timber floors and an original stonework fireplace.
With 115sqm of internal living, the house is centred around an atrium. This entertaining space is surrounded by three bedrooms and the kitchen.
The kitchen has stone benchtops, gas cooking, breakfast bar and plenty of storage.
“It is an immaculately renovated period cottage on a level block in a great spot,” Mr Perea said.
Mr Perea said Kiama property like this one always performs well when they hit the market.
‘Buyers love that the location and how the area is not overly developed,” he said.
“It is also a more mature market because of the price range, but it still performs well with buyers looking to move to the area for the lifestyle,” he said.
No. 1 Bong Bong St is for sale via private treaty.
