Prestige home is a hole-in-one
The five-bedroom home at 24a Burran Ave, Mosman, has spectacular views and a 40m frontage, with more than 600sqm of internal living space services by a lift.
And the buyers are already circling.
Within 12 hours of putting the listing online late Wednesday night, Jonathon De Brennan, of De Brennan Property said he had received 17 inquiries.
“The phone hasn’t stopped,” he said.
“There was literally no expense spared in the design and the build. I haven’t seen a home of this quality in a very long time, especially in the Golden Mile.”
Mr Bartter and his brother Simon are co-founders of the Griffith-based poultry giant Bartter Enterprises.
They sold the business in 2009 to Baiada Poultry, reportedly for more than $200 million.
Mr De Brennan said he had already received offshore interest in the property, which is for sale by expressions of interest, closing on July 27.
“It’s the kind of property that is going to suit a lot of buyers,” he said.
The home is full-brick construction, with 3.3m high ceilings and 900x900 limestone floors, heated by energy efficient gas hydronic floor heating.
Other features include VRS airconditioning, alarm, ducted vacuum, 6.76mm laminated window panes, a recirculating hot water system and double insulated concrete roofing.
Located between Balmoral Beach and Chinamans Beach, the Golden Mile is made up of Hopetoun Ave, Burran Ave and Kirkoswald Ave and is home to some of Sydney’s most notable names, including Kiss FM’s Kyle Sandilands and Racing Australia chairman John Messara.
The area saw huge sales in 2018, including former Foxtel boss Richard Freudenstien’s Burran Ave home selling for $23.77 million to Pilot Energy chairman Wilson Xue, and Sydney Swans chairman Andrew Pridham paying $25 million for a waterfront home.
