Hornsby and North Sydney share huge auction clearance rate in October
QUALITY schools are a driving force behind strong property results in the Hornsby area, agents say.
HORNSBY and North Sydney shared a clearance rate of 90.5 per cent for October, shooting the shire into second place behind the northern beaches with 92.1 per cent, according to CoreLogic RP Data.
Ray White Thornleigh’s Dion Verzeletti said the consistently strong results for the month had a lot to do with quality local schools.
“There are so many good schools in this direction, all within cooee — it just shows you don’t need to live in the city to have access to schools, shops and lifestyle,” Mr Verzeletti said.
On the weekend, Ray White Thornleigh auctioned 8 Norman Ave, Thornleigh, which sold above reserve for $1.375 million to a Wahroonga buyer.
