A house built 73 years ago and owned by the well-known Morley family in Long Jetty has been sold for $650,000.
The property at 29 Fraser Rd was originally built in 1945 by Mr Coleman, a local builder of the day.
Passed on to a local minister in 1950, the home was then sold to Lee and Pat Morley in 1965.
After getting married in Horsham, England in June 1949, the Morleys left the UK, arriving in Sydney on New Year’s Day, 1950, on the M.V Cheshire.

Kincumber acreage with original house smashes reserve
Mr Morley became a prominent local citizen who introduced soccer to the community and is the namesake of Bateau Bay’s Pat Morley oval. He and his wife were active members of the community.
The house, named Bimbimie which means place of birds, has been loved and cared for, with a garden full of bird life.
Reminiscent of a rainforest garden with a charming front veranda, the property is full of character and history.
Inside is like a 1960s time warp, with a formal lounge and kitchen in near original condition and a kitchen fireplace with old fire cooker.
Sold by Debbie Montgomery from McLachlan Partners Long Jetty, the house is set on a large 1012m2 block and wide frontage.
The ad listing said that it has “future development potential”.

“After the election, investors got serious and we had four buyers making offers,” Rachel Lilley from McLachlan Partners said.
“The purchaser is local and on sales advice it’s marked as owner occupier, but I think he has plans to develop in the future.”
