Galston leads way in quarterly house growth for north
SOME Sydney markets are stalling, but Galston has shot up over the past three months alone.
THORNLEIGH house medians may have gone backwards over the quarter, but the reverse was true for Galston, which topped the region in that same period, recording 11.5 per cent growth.
Normanhurst was next best — its unit median shooting up by an impressive 9.2 per cent, edging out Pennant Hills with 8.2 per cent, CoreLogic figures showed.
The results are interesting when placed in the context of Sydney’s overall quarterly performance. CoreLogic shows that the great Sydney area has seen a 0 per cent median movement for houses and growth of just 0.3 per cent for units in that period.
Over the past 12 months, Sydney houses have grown by 8.7 per cent and units by 7.1 per cent.
