Confidence picks up the pace as more buyers eye off trophy homes
Buyers are on the hunt for prestige property on the lower north shore, with the luxury Mosman home pop megastar Justin Bieber rented in 2017 firmly on the radar.
Buyers are reportedly eyeing off a luxury Mosman home that pop megastar Justin Bieber used as his headquarters during his 2017 Australian Tour.
The lower north shore’s trophy home market is starting to see the effects of a more confident market, with agents reporting a renewed interest from buyers in a number of properties that have been on the market for months.

Prestige home is a hole-in-one
Properties in the $15 million-plus price range generally take a lot longer to sell than those in the lower price brackets, but there have only been a handful so far on the lower north shore this year.
Experts predicted the first six months of the year would see little activity, thanks to the distractions and uncertainties surrounding the financial sector Royal Commission, two elections and a holiday period that jammed Easter, school term break and Anzac Day all into one chunk.
But June has rolled around and the buyers — renewed by the trifecta of the Federal Election result, APRA’s decision to relax home lending criteria and the RBA’s reduction of the official cash rate — are back across all price points.
One home that is getting renewed attention is 6 Coronation Ave, Mosman, an absolute trophy home made famous when it brought the suburb to a standstill in 2017. It doesn’t come cheap though, with a $20 million price guide.
Pop star Justin Bieber rented the house out during his Australian tour, and fans were quick to line the streets hoping for a glimpse of their idol.
There was another stampede when he ventured out for a meal at Chargrill Charlie’s in Mosman.
The impressive home has five bedrooms, five bathrooms, parking for eight cars and unobstructed views of Balmoral.
Brendan Warner, director of Raine & Horne Mosman, said there were definitely more buyers looking around at trophy homes.
He said there had been some “high profile” people looking at 6 Coronation Ave, but could not reveal any names.
“We are definitely starting to see more buyers and there have been some good sales,” he said.
Mr Warner said he had three inspections scheduled for the Coronation Ave property next week — one a US buyer, another from China and the other a local.
“There is definitely renewed confidence since the election,” he said.
Nic Krasnostein, of Ray White Double Bay, is sharing the listing on the property. He said the impeccably designed masterpiece would suit the highly evolved needs of the 21st century traveller.
“To be honest, it’s one of the most impressive experiences I have ever had to walk into this home. It’s a one of a kind piece of art,” Mr Krasnostein said.
The home was fully furnished by the celebrated French interior designer Christan Liaigre, known for conceiving homes and superyachts for fashion designers Calvin Klein and Karl Lagerfeld, singer Bryan Adams, and French cosmetics king François Nars.
“The house and its custom furniture is all available to buy,” Mr Krasnostein said.
“The home couldn’t be replicated if you tried,”
