Renovation queen Cherie Barber has sold her five-storey Birchgrove investment property for what will be the second highest waterfront sale in the suburb.

A regular on Network 10’s The Living Room, her four-bedroom Louisa Rd property was purchased by a local inner west buyer.

It had been on the market with Cobden and Hayson’s Mark Bowis and Ben Southwell for 50 days via a private treaty sale.

Cobden and Hayson director Danny Cobden said there was huge buyer interest in the property over the campaign.

“Buyers loved that it was right on the waterfront and it had uninterrupted gun barrel views,” Mr Cobden said.

The Sunday Telegraph’s Jonathan Chancellor reports that Ms Barber purchased the property in 2014 for $4.05 million, before undertaking a massive renovation.

It is the latest strong result following the shock election result two weeks ago, which appears to have boosted market confidence.
