Where it's impossible to find a rental

Renting a Sydney home with a water view doesn’t need to cost an arm and a leg – if you know where to look.

A review of rental listings on realestate.com.au has revealed plenty of Sydney properties have views of the city’s stunning waterways and are advertised for less than the median weekly unit rent of $500.

This makes the homes perfect for professional singles and couples wanting lifestyle appeal without breaking the bank.

Leasing consultant Georgia Cunneen from Belle Property Avalon said she received inquiries from prospective tenants every day looking for properties with water views.

“It’s the wow factor,” she said. “It’s something different to look at and it’s quite peaceful.”

She said there had been an influx of out of area people inquiring about properties in the Northern beaches over the past two years.
