One of the stars of The Flip Off has given a candid behind the scenes look at the hit home reno show.

Ever seen a home reno show turn into an episode of MAFS? We have now.

Christina Haack has been thrown back in the spotlight after her ex-husband’s new wife weighed in on what she really thinks of the reality star.

Speaking to Realtor, Heather El Moussa opened up about watching Haack endure a bitter public break-up from her former spouse, Josh Hall, which began shortly while filming “The Flip Off” kicked off.

Heather, 37, confessed that she and her husband, Tarek El Moussa, 43 — who was previously married to Haack — saw cracks in the relationship leading up to the separation.

“We kind of knew something was coming, but we didn’t know how soon,” she explained.

“We didn’t know when it [was happening, so] we are very much like, ‘Oh wow,’ but we knew there had been issues.”

Initially, “The Flip Off” had been focused around a renovation battle between the El Moussas and the Halls; however, Josh Hall was removed from the show shortly after he and Haack went their separate ways in July 2024, leaving the latter to take on the competition series solo.

Though the ordeal was painful, Heather says that Haack, with whom she has formed a “deep” friendship, appeared instantly happier in the wake of the split, explaining that the “tension” between the renovation expert and her now-estranged spouse was clear for everyone to see.

“You definitely see some tension between them on camera and I would say like, after he left the show, [Christina] was much lighter,” Heather explained.

“It seemed like she was happier and it made the show a lot more fun.

“Whereas when he was involved, there was a lot more smack talking; and I know that she wasn’t enjoying filming with him.”

Haack appears to be happy with her new boyfriend Christopher Larocca.

The mum-of-three started dating the businessman late last year and quickly brought him into her social circle, with Heather revealing that they have already been out on a few double dates.

“We’ve gone to dinner with them a couple of times, and he’s come to some kid things, and I’d say, so far I like him” she shared.

“I have nothing negative to say about him, and she seems happy.”

Haack first confirmed her romance with Larocca in February, sharing a series of images from a romantic trip that they had taken together.

The 41-year-old posted an image of her perched on the 52-year-old’s lap inside their plane, with the duo both holding glasses of champagne while beaming at the camera.

In another snap, Haack and Larocca embraced each other as they struck a pose in front of the jet. She captioned the images: “Some plane flights must be hard posted.”

Rumours of Haack’s relationship with Larocca first emerged in January, when it was reported that the pair had been dating quietly for several months, amid her ongoing divorce battle with Hall.

It comes as no surprise that Haack’s three kids — Taylor, 14, Brayden, 9, and Hudson, 5 — have met her new boyfriend.

The interior designer previously revealed her children played a key role in her decision to end things with Hall.

During an emotional on-camera exchange with Tarek, she said her children had begged her to leave her ex.

Meanwhile, Larocca shares a 17-year-old daughter with his ex-wife, to whom he was married for eight years; however, it is unclear how much time Haack has spent with the teen.

Still, the HGTV starlet appears to have been basking in her new-found romance — and has made clear that she has no regrets about the end of her marriage to Hall.

“The house is so much better, the kids are so happy. Like, everyone in this household is, like, thriving, and the kids truly are doing great,” she said during a recent episode of her show, “Christina on the Coast.”

“Everyone’s just doing better since he’s gone. It’s just all that negative energy.”

Heather and Haack’s relationship has also gone from strength to strength, with Tarek’s second wife insisting that they are far more than just “co-parents.”

However, Heather noted that, at the start of filming for “The Flip Off,” she had some reservations about pursuing a closer friendship — especially when Josh was involved.

“[Christina] and I got to know each other on a deeper level, where just co-parenting we didn’t,” she explained.

“And I think, of course, there were reservations at first, we were are all in a really good place in our co-parenting relationship that I’m like, ‘Are we sure we want to put ourselves in this position, especially when Josh was involved? Is there gonna be fighting, is there gonna be negativity? Are Tarek and him gonna get along? Is that gonna cause problems between us and Christina?’

“So there was, of course, some hesitation. And I wanted to make sure she and I kept a good relationship for the kids.

“But the first day that we filmed together. We had a great time, and we laughed, and she texted me after and she was like, ‘Oh, my God! That was so fun like you’re so fun to film with.’ And I was like, ‘Oh, you, too.’ So it just got better and better every single time we filmed together.”

Heather noted that their friendship didn't come without reservations — especially when Josh was involved.

Although Heather rose to stardom after appearing on "Selling Sunset," she admitted that the glamorous show had too much "drama" for her liking.

After leaving the show for maternity leave, Heather decided to not return and instead turned her sights to working exclusively with her husband.

Her latest show, “Flip Off” — which just wrapped up its first season — garnered so much publicity that fans have already been speculating about what will come in the next season.

She confessed that she loves to hear “what the fans think” and “what they would want in Season 2.”

In addition to being a real estate star, Heather has recently added makeup connoisseur to her resume.

Just last month, she launched beauty brand Heather Rae Essentials and debuted a non-toxic lip gloss under the line.

Heather revealed that she was going to be launching new products in April, however, kept tight-lipped about what they would be.
