Today show host sells family home after shock split from wife
KARL Stefanovic and Cassandra Thorburn have sold their family home less than two weeks after it was listed.
KARL Stefanovic and Cassandra Thorburn have sold their family home in Sydney’s leafy upper north shore less than two weeks after it was listed and barely two months after the news broke of their shock split.
Selling agent John Tower, of Tower & London, told news.com.au that he could not reveal the selling price, as it had been withdrawn by both the sellers and the buyers. However, he could reveal that the classic federation home in Lindfield was put up for sale with a price guide of $3.8 million.
The Logie-winning presenter and his wife of 21 years bought the house in 2010 for $2.3 million. Renovated by the couple since then, the five-bedroom home includes a master bedroom with a marble fireplace and two-part ensuite, a music room, a new kitchen, a pool and a kids retreat.
It is the family home Stefanovic, 42, shared with Thorburn, 44, and their three children Jackson, 16, Ava, 11, and 10-year-old River.
Mr Tower said the property received a lot of inquiries and a few offers. It was one of only a few houses on the market in Lindfield, so it was no surprise it was snapped up quickly.
The pair met in the mid 1990s while Stefanovic was working with WIN Television and Thorburn with ABC radio in Rockhampton.
