Sydney Roosters head coach Trent Robinson and wife Sandra are trading up in the eastern suburbs, and looking to move closer to the beach.

The couple have listed the Waverley home they bought for $1,815,000 in 2014, a year after Robinson took the top job at the Moore Park-based club.

It was the first time the home had traded in more than two decades.

Bordering Clovelly, the two-level home on 210sqm has two living areas separated by a new kitchen.

The front living space features a slow combustion fireplace and the rear living area opens to a covered deck that overlooks the garden.

Robinson met Sandra, from the French village of Montrabe, while coaching with Toulouse and Catalans. They returned to Australia in 2013, when he sold for $495,000 the 1920s home at Wickham, near Newcastle, that he had paid $331,000 for in 2008 when he was assistant coach at the Knights.

Robinson became the youngest coach in the NRL when he took over at the Roosters in 2013 at age 35.

The club has since won four minor premierships and two grand finals.
