Sale of former vitamin king Vaughan Bullivants Redcliffe home sets record
FORMER vitamin king-turned-island resort kingpin, Vaughan Bullivant, has sold his beachfront mansion for a record price.
FORMER vitamin king and now tourism operator, Vaughan Bullivant has sold his beachfront mansion and set a price record at the same time.
Bullivant, who sold out of his and owns Daydream Island, has sold the Prince Edward Pde, Redcliffe house for $5.3 million.
The sale of the absolute beachfront property is the highest price recorded for a sale in the suburb.
Mr Bullivant and his former wife had built side-by-side mansions which they lived in during their married life.
The property was marketed by Marilyn Madden of Professionals Woody Point.
Ms Madden said the buyer was a Brisbane businessman who intended to live in the six-bedroom, four-bathroom house.
The home sits on a 4000 sq m beachfront site that has 68.9 metres of beach frontage. It has a theatre and media room, two bars and large balconies with 180 degree views of Moreton Bay.
The property also has a resort-style swimming pool, spa, a waterside and a covered poolside entertainment gazebo equipped with its own kitchen, change rooms and bathroom.
There is a full-sized tennis court with floodlighting and a replica Georgian-style cubby house that has previously been named as being among the Top 10 Cubby Houses in Australia.
Ms Madden said Prince Edward Pde was one of the best streets in the area and properties in there were tightly held.
“Some of the homes along Prince Edward Parade are breathtaking. It is a beautiful and quite secluded part of the Redcliffe Peninsula and it’s no surprise to discover that there is always strong demand for properties along this strip.”
