Renter walks out of inspection after finding puddle on bedroom floor
Inspectors at a Sydney rental home were horrified when they walked into the main bedroom of a home and looked at the floor.
Potential renters attending an open house inspection at a property in Sydney’s inner west were left shocked when they walked into the property’s main bedroom and found a huge puddle soaking the floor.
The property is listed online for $750 a week, with pictures showing spacious rooms and a stylish interior design.
“This large-sized character semi is brimming with possibilities and holds lots of potential to create something special in a well-positioned home,” the property listing reads.
A few of the renters who visited the 469 sqm property were so angered by the sight, they turned to social media to vent.
“This is the state of rentals in Sydney,” they said on Facebook.
“For a cheap $750 a week, you get the amenities of the floor sagging and roof leaking this much.”
“So they forgot to add to the listing that there was a natural water feature and indoor pool to the listing? Damn, they could have asked $1k a week if they included that,” one person commented.
Another person commented to say they had also viewed the property a few weeks ago and said while the home was massive, it was problematic given the puddle.
The person did not clarify what those problems were, beyond the puddle.
NCA Newswire has contacted the property managers for comment.
