Matching your outfit to your favourite Taylor Swift era? Why not realise your Wildest Dreams and lock down a home that matches your era Style. Here are some of the best that will have you screaming, You Belong To Me.
Well, Taylor Swift, Look What You Made Me Do.
With The Eras Tour finally coming to Australian shores and me without as ticket, I’m left with Teardrops On My Guitar and a story to file.
So before my Mean boss tells me, “You Need To Calm Down” or that I’m “being Delicate”, here is this real estate reporter’s ode to Ms Swift’s music as a long-time Taylor Lover.
It’s a pretty Fearless move, knowing the Swifties may tear my work to pieces and I may have to Begin Again after Sparks Fly.
But here’s hoping I don’t become just another Picture To Burn.
Are you Ready For It?
Here are my picks of the homes you can snap up right now in Australia with some serious Era vibes.
TAYLOR SWIFT
This debut album was wholesome and country with a little twang and a decent dose of that teenage angst Ms Swift is known for.
If this album, which featured Teardrops On My Guitar, Tim McGraw and Picture To Burn, was a home, it would most definitely be an Aussie character house on a chunk of land with room for a few horses or cows.
972 Hermitage Emu Vale Road, Junabee, QLD – auction
It would be easy to imagine a teen girl living an idyllic life on this 44.52ha property complete with a classic Queenslander, bushland, dams, paddocks, hothouse and veggie gardens.
70 Railway Ave, Colo Vale, NSW – Price guide: $1.75m – $1.8m
‘Wonga’ is an 1880s cottage, sitting on 1,758 sqm lot, with character features, timber floors and claw-foot bathtub. You can just picture Taylor strumming her guitar on the front porch.
FEARLESS
The angst was turned up a few notches on this album and the country was turned down, though it still made an appearance.
The album was a peek into a teenage girl’s diary and the big hits were Love Story, You Belong With Me and Fifteen and
This era would be a dream family home straight out of a sitcom or a castle-like property with balconies.
13 Hensman St, South Perth, WA – Offers over $2.8m
This three-storey home with pool and big yard comes with four bedrooms, two bathrooms, and plenty of indoor and outdoor living spaces. It is also close to schools and shops for the angsty teens.

‘Buladilah’ has some serious Romeo and Juliette vibes, with a three-storey farmhouse style home complete with balcony, fireplace and stone accents. There’s even a teenage retreat in the stables.
SPEAK NOW
Ms Swift was starting to mature and so were her songs on Speak Now, but the album still held onto the whimsy and sparkle of her previous work.
The hits included Back To December, Enchanted and Mine.
Purple was a main theme of the Speak Now branding and if this album was a home it would be full of bold colours or elevated glam.
2601 Ephraim Island, Paradise Point, QLD – POA
This opulent Gold Coast penthouse features modern design with a dash of sparkle. It has 632 sqm of space, panoramic views, multiple balconies, gas fireplace and lux accents throughout. The sky home has four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a wet bar and custom chandeliers.
3 Africaine Terrace, Kingscote, SA – Price guide: $575,000
What speaks louder than a bright purple house? This two-storey, four-bedroom home was designed in a Cape Cod style and features ocean views, new floors and paint throughout, and an open plan dining and kitchen space.
RED
This album is a move away from the sequins and butterflies towards vintage and glam.
Red introduced We Are Never Getting Back Together, 22 and I Knew You Were Trouble to the world, along with a more grown up look of red lipstick and straightened hair for Taylor.
If Red was a home it would be a character property with original features, moody interiors and splashes of red.

This red brick terrace house has been meticulously renovated while retaining the character and charm of yesteryear. It features high ceilings, timber floors, a fireplace and bullnose veranda.

Another terrace house, this one a Victorian-era home that has been beautifully updated and boasts wrought iron details, fireplace, library and french doors opening to a second-floor balcony.
1989
A move to New York influenced the themes of this album with a bolder voice, edgier styling and maturity weaving through the songs, artwork and film clips of 1989.
The big hits were Blank Space, Shake It Off, Bad Blood and Wildest Dreams.
This album would, without a doubt, be an industrial style apartment or classic townhouse in the heart of a city.
2/56-60 Foster St, Surry Hills, NSW – POA
A warehouse conversion in buzzing Surry Hills, this four-bedroom property features 5m ceilings, floor to ceiling windows, a mezzanine master bedroom and a fixed Carrara marble dining table.

REPUTATION
This marked the death of Old Taylor and the introduction of gothic and serpentine themes.

As a home, this era would be gothic, moody and secure.

LOVER
This was a return to fun Taylor with bubblegum pop, pastel colours and a Barbiecore vibe before Margot Robbie made it a thing.
The big hits from the album were ME!, Lover and You Need To Calm Down.
If this fun collection of songs was a home it would be light, bright and filled with pastel hues.

FOLKLORE
Released during the Covid pandemic, this album was pure storytelling rather than being inspired by Taylor’s personal life.
The album was a definite step into indie and the feel was alt-pop and cottagecore with hits including Cardigan, Exile and the 1.
As a home, Folklore would be a cozy cottage with timber floors and stained glass windows.
19 West St, Murrumbateman, NSW – $960,000

EVERMORE

Evermore as a home would be a cabin in the woods.
18 East St, Daylesford, VIC – $649,990

MIDNIGHTS
This is Ms Swift’s most recent album, until The Tortured Poets Department is released on April 19.
An ode to sleepless nights and too-deep feelings, Midnights is an album with a moody, secrets-in-the-dark feel. Featured song, Anti-Hero, became one of Taylor’s biggest hits.
As a home, this era would be rich jewel tones, cosy rooms and fireplaces.
3B Davis St, Leith, TAS – $960,000
