THE market is still red-hot for potential vendors as the spring selling season melds into summer.

New research from realestate.com.au revealed sellers were coming out on top of the market, with buyers - in particular investors - willing to pay more to secure a property.

In WA, the survey found:

The national results of the survey showed WA topped the national average of people looking for property in the $500,000-$1.5 million bracket (at 47 per cent - the national result was 39 per cent).

Realestate.com.au general manager of sales and operations Arthur Charlaftis said now was a good time to consider selling. "The research indicates investors are returning to the market," he said.

"With low interest rates and a limited number of properties available, many buyers believe prices will continue to increase in the next six months, so if you're considering selling, it's a great time to take action."
