An original home in Wahroonga has hit the market for the first time in 100 years with more than 500 people interested.
A century old, original home in the “golden triangle” of Wahroonga has attracted hundreds of potential buyers.
The property, at 12 Burns Rd, had more than 500 inquiries in its first six days on the market.
“The response has been incredible, at first we were getting 30-40 phone calls a day,” McGrath agent Nick Muzha said.
“At the first inspection we had 40 people, then 25 … it has slowly calmed down but there has been a lot of inquiries from builders.”

The deceased estate was last sold in 1923 and has been home to three generations of the same family over the years.
The listing describes it as a “unique opportunity in prestige location”.
“Builders and renovators alike seeking the project of a lifetime will be excited by this rare opportunity,” it says.
The original full brick house has intricate period detailing with high ceilings, ornate features and large bedrooms.
Mr Muzha said the property was in a conservation area however the house was not heritage listed.

“There’s a lot of buyers who would like to restore it,” he said.
“You can see its former glory. A lot of locals have said they don’t want to see it knocked down.”
He said the location was part of Wahroonga’s “golden triangle”, 500 metres from Wahroonga Station and shops and close to Knox Grammar, Abbotsleigh and Wahroonga Public School.
The price guide for the 1526 sqm property is $3.6m.
According to PropTrack data, the median house price in Wahroonga over the last 12 months is $2.5m.
Mr Muzha said 16 Burns Rd, another two bedroom home needing work, recently sold off market for $4.1m.
The auction will be held on June 3 at 12pm.
