Tones and I: Singer adds Frankston house to property portfolio
The Dance Monkey singer may have spent more than $12m on flashy Mt Eliza mansions last year alone — but she’s also adding to the other end of her ever-expanding property portfolio.
Pop star Tones and I has added a Frankston home to her extensive property portfolio of multimillion-dollar mansions.
Records reveal the singer-songwriter, real name Toni Watson, snapped up the four-bedroom house for $720,000 in September last year under her private company, Johnny Run Away.
The corporate entity shares the name of her debut single, which was closely followed by the chart-topping song Dance Money, that helped catapult her to international fame.

Listing agent Eview Group’s Sandra Bardebes declined to comment on the sale.
The 824sq m block comprises a main residence and freestanding bungalows that were marketed as “ideal” work from home offices, or additional accommodation.
The site also has potential to be redeveloped into three separate townhouses or consolidated as a large family home within the sought-after Frankston High zoning, close to Monash University, Frankston Hospital and a popular local shopping strip.
It joins another modest Frankston abode Tones and I reportedly purchased for a friend or family member last year, and two luxury Mt Eliza mansions priced at $5.1m and $7.08m.
In December, she splashed $3.3m on a Byron Bay retreat on the outskirts of the coastal town.
The singer’s remarkable success is a far cry from her humble beginnings growing up on the Mornington Peninsula.
Tones and I famously once lived out of her van, and then in a hostel after quitting her retail job to move to Byron Bay where she was discovered as an artist.
Her debut album Welcome to the Madhouse was released in July and landed on the top of the ARIA charts.
