Peter Moon: Comedian pushes Fast Forward on Richmond sale
Melbourne funnyman Peter Moon is laughing all the way to the bank, sealing a deal for his Richmond home days before its auction in one of the suburb’s most expensive sales this year.
Melbourne funnyman Peter Moon has sold his Richmond house in one of the suburb’s most expensive deals this year.
The comedian offloaded 69 Rowena Parade for $3.22 million three days before its scheduled December 7 auction.
Mr Moon is best known for his TV sketch show performances on Fast Forward alongside Steve Vizard, Jane Turner, Gina Riley and Magda Szubanski from 1989 to 1992.

He also co-hosted Sydney’s popular 2Day FM morning breakfast radio show with Wendy Harmer and Paul Holmes for seven years from 1995.
Jellis Craig Richmond agent Trent Stewart said an early boardroom auction sealed the deal.
“We had an offer just short of $3 million, so we called in one other interested party who bid the property up to the final price,” Mr Stewart said.
“Both parties were young families in the local area looking to purchase a larger family home they could live in long-term. They have plans to renovate it in the future.”
Mr Moon and his partner Jane Hopkins are downsizing after their three children moved out of home. They also own a farm in Trentham, where they now spend more time.
The four-bedroom Federation home has been well maintained over the years, with only minor updates made since they bought it in 2008.
It features a wide central hallway that flows to an airy open-plan living room.
The first floor boasts impressive views of the city and MCG from a large retreat and vine-clad balcony.
