In the suburb’s “Golden Triangle”, the property has coastline vistas stretching towards the city skyline and comes with an $8-$8.8 million price guide.
The indulgent mansion sprawls over 800sq m of living with two main levels, and a wine cellar and basement lounge befitting of a 5-star hotel, on a 2500sq m block.
The basement dazzles with a stunning colour-changing light fixture in the wine lounge and glass doors that open to a 3000-bottle cellar.
McEwing & Partners director Quentin McEwing said the subterranean space also came with a French antique table and a day bed with aquarium-like window below the waterline of the outdoor swimming pool.
An Elba marble kitchen with a full suite of imported appliances, marble walk-in pantry and $150,000 oven is highlight of the main living spaces.
It was runner-up in the contemporary section in a global kitchen design contest run by Sub-Zero and Wolf that had 1800 entries.
Little expense has been spared in the rest of the property; a lift connects to the parents suite upstairs, five ensuites and bathrooms service the well-appointed bedrooms.
The open-plan living zone has rammed-earth feature walls and a fireplace, while the billiards room has a New York-style bar.
An old-style “gentleman’s office” with scotch bar, a home cinema with tiered seating, gym and a hot rock dry/wet sauna are other highlights.
Of course, there’s also a state-of-the-art pool with fountains and marble paving, plus a firepit terrace. Towering palms offer a grand welcome to the house, while the tennis court is by international court makers Match Point Systems.
“It is the best and most expensive new home on the peninsula and one day after listing already had international inquiries,” Mr McEwing said.
“We expect keen interest from Melbourne and Sydney buyers looking to move down here.”
The vendor, who declined to be named, has bought, renovated or developed six properties on the coveted street in the past decade.

“We had to find the right builder, specialist tradesmen and an interior designer who would carry out our vision.”
The family of five have enjoyed living in the home since it was ready last year and might embark on another project if it sells, but they’ll hold onto it if the price isn’t right.
The street price record is $5.1 million for 45 Canadian Bay Rd, which sold in February.
