Mount Martha: Palm Springs-style home has half-pipe skate ramp
A pool, tennis court and half-pipe can be found on the sprawling grounds of the “coolest pad around” that blends “Mediterranean boldness with Californian glamour” on the Mornington Peninsula.
A Palm Springs influence and a half-pipe skate ramp in the backyard make this Mount Martha masterpiece the “coolest pad around”.
McEwing & Partners director Dean Phillips said the talented Bennetton brothers, “one the best builders on the Peninsula” Toby and esteemed architect Tim, joined forces to create the home for Toby and his family over a three-year process.
The result was a “well-built property in a great location with the best views you could ever imagine”, taking in Port Phillip Bay and the sweeping coast of the Mornington Peninsula, Mr Phillips said.
“They’ve put everything into it,” he said.

The resort-style retreat at 1 Trig Point has now hit the market with a $6.6-$7.2m price guide, as the Bennettons look to move on to “their next adventure”.
Marketing for the home describes how it “blends raw Mediterranean boldness with Californian glamour”.
Chic coastal style pervades the main house, which is centred around an open-plan living and dining area with a fireplace, access to a deck, and a limestone kitchen with a walk-in pantry.
A sunken theatre room, a rumpus room, a home office and four bedrooms complete the two-storey pad, which is complemented by a self-contained studio with two further bedrooms.
The 6200sq m site also features a pool and spa, a pool house with a games room and a sauna, a tennis court, a fire pit and the half pipe.
Mr Phillips said Mr Bennetton’s kids were “great surfers, skateboarders and mountain bikers” who had loved living in the fun home.
