Australian pop icon Kylie Minogue has sold the Melbourne home she’s owned for more than 30 years in an eye-watering seven-figure deal.

The London-based songstress has quietly handed over the keys to her quaint Armadale cottage, southeast of the CBD, for a whopping $1.715m, the Herald Sun reported.

She acquired the home in 1990 when she was 22 for just $185,000 after finishing up on Neighbours and launching her singing career.

The property was rented out in 1993, with it having multiple occupants over the course of the past 28 years.

The home, on Cambridge Street, was listed as an “Armadale treasure”, famous for its heritage beauty.

According to the publication, the sale took place back in February.

Among the home’s features were a lace-fringed veranda, a sunny courtyard, high ceilings, Baltic pine floors and an elegant arched entrance hallway.

It also has open fireplaces complete with decorative mantels, and was updated to include ducted heating, reverse-cycle heating and cooling, a video intercom and a remote-controlled door to the garage.

Minogue currently occupies a $25m penthouse at One Hyde Park in London, which is reportedly the most expensive apartment building in the world.

Her current digs are no comparison to the humble four-bedroom home she grew up in with her sister Dannii, parents, and brother Brendan in Camberwell.

The home sold in 2016 for $1.74m, according to the publication.

The Armadale home was Minogue’s first property investment, with her buying a home in 2002 for her parents for $2.43m in Canterbury.

She now owns multiple properties in London, and formerly had one on French Island in Western Port Bay.
