Kathryn Harby-Williams: ex-Australian Diamonds captain sells in Brighton East
Former Australian Diamonds captain and netball executive Kathryn Harby-Williams has sold the swish Brighton East pad where she moved after retiring from her playing career.
Ex-Australian Diamonds captain Kathryn Harby-Williams has sold her Brighton East townhouse.
The retired netballer and chief executive of the Australian Netball Players’ Association negotiated the sale of 6B Cecil St after it passed in at auction.
Kay & Burton Bayside agent Chelsie Cargill said the two-time Commonwealth Games gold medallist and her husband Corey Williams scored a $1.88 million deal.

“There were two bidders … and it was a local family who already live in the community that bought it,” Ms Cargill said.
It was a result about the middle of the $1.75-$1.925 million price guide.
The couple and their three children first moved to the modern townhouse from New Zealand, where Harby-Williams played for the Auckland Diamonds before retiring from the sport.
“We rented it out when we came from New Zealand and first landed in Melbourne, but purchased it a little while later in 2016,” Harby-Williams said.
“It’s known as a townhouse, but it really has been a stand-alone home with two outdoor areas perfect for our kids.”
Originally from South Australia, the netballer played for the Adelaide Thunderbirds and also worked as the Adelaide Crows commercial manager between 1997 and 2000.
She said the family had enjoyed “eating dinner at the outdoor table while the children played in the backyard, or sitting around the fire pit while they jumped on the trampoline”.
The couple have plans to build a larger house on a block they’ve purchased nearby.
“We need another bedroom because the children are growing up and don’t like sharing rooms anymore,” Harby-Williams said.
“Otherwise, we would have been at this house forever,”
