Comedian, radio and television presenter Kate Langbroek and husband Peter Allan Lewis’ St Kilda home has passed in at auction with a vendor bid of $2.525m yesterday.
The five-bedroom, two-bathroom homestead at 7 Burnett St, St Kilda garnered significant interest from buyers with the vendors reaching for $2.5m-$2.7m price hopes.
The result was one of 609 results recorded by PropTrack yesterday with a 64.5 per cent auction clearance rate.

PropTrack economist Anne Flaherty said a clearance rate over 60 per cent was a resilient result for the start of the spring selling season but heeded concern about the future conditions of the market if mortgage rates and the cost of living didn’t improve.
An interested party for Langbroek’s home placed an undisclosed offer post-auction and currently in negotiations with the vendors.
Belle Property St Kilda principal John Manning said he is confident the property will sell in the coming week.
“It’s a big St Kilda home with a great amount of living spaces to accommodate a big family,” Mr Manning said.
“For what the home is and where it is located, it is great value for the eventual purchaser.”
Mr Manning said he also feels confident about the Melbourne property market heading into the rest of September.
