Former Guide Dogs Victoria chief executive Karen Hayes is selling a lux two-storey Mt Martha house with a $5.5m-$5.95m price guide.

Ms Hayes resigned in May, weeks after publicly endorsing former federal Treasurer Josh Frydenberg during his election campaign.

She is also known for being a Melbourne International Comedy Festival board member and Melbourne Football Club former director.

Ms Hayes’ stylish four-bedroom pad features Port Phillip Bay and Melbourne CBD views.

Designed by multi-award winning Vibe Design Group founder Michael O’Sullivan, the abode includes internal glass walls, stacked sliding doors and a steel-framed pivoting front door.

The main bedroom suite has a walk-in wardrobe and an ensuite with a freestanding bath.

A parents’ retreat and gym makes up one of three living areas.

Danckert Real Estate director Alex Corradi said the abode’s build and finishes were “top of the line”.

“If you were to build it now it would cost you just shy of $4m,” Mr Corradi said.

He said the house was great for entertaining and was currently home to a 12-seater outdoor dining table, which would not stay with the property once it was sold.

Mr Corradi said the house would make an ideal holiday home.

“My favourite parts of the home are probably the architectural design and the way, when you’re on the balcony, there is an elevated north-facing bay view all the way to the city and You Yangs,” he added.

Mr Corradi declined to comment on the vendors, but public records show the property is owned by Ms Hayes and her husband Graeme.
