Daniel Radcliffe: Harry Potter actor sells Toorak apartment to parents
This ain’t no cupboard under the stairs. The Harry Potter star has sold up in Melbourne’s ritziest ‘burb to interesting buyers.
Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe has sold his Melbourne apartment — to his parents.
The Toorak pad, which Radcliffe and his folks purchased in the mid-2000s while he was filming in Australia, changed hands in April for a sum of $2m, CoreLogic records show.
Title documents and public records reveal a company which lists Radcliffe’s parents, Marcia Gresham and Alan Radcliffe, as directors purchased the three-bedroom property.

The top-floor apartment — a big step up from the cupboard under the stairs — is on one of the suburb’s most exclusive streets and had previously been listed for sale in 2015 with $2.5m price hopes.
But it was taken off market that same year, sparking rumours the now-31-year-old was returning Down Under for another movie.
At the time, Marshall White Armadale director Marcus Chiminello said there was “certainly some interest on the property” before it was removed from sale.
The English actor is best know for his role as Harry Potter in the world-famous franchise, which began filming in 2000 when he was just 10.
He also starred in critically acclaimed movies such as Kill Your Darlings and Imperium and has performed in West End and Broadway productions.
