Bradman Terrace, Epping house has original MCC Long Room Bar
This Bradman Terrace home could be the ultimate pad for cricket fans: the address is complemented by a $50,000 section of the MCC’s Long Room bar that was well-known for a quirky detail.
A pricey piece of MCG memorabilia is up for grabs with an Epping house that has buyers saying “howzat”.
The four-bedroom property, aptly at 7 Bradman Terrace, has hit the market with a $930,000-$1.023m price guide.
And the fact it sports part of the original MCC Long Room bar is what owner Lynne Herbert hopes will bowl buyers over.

Ms Herbert said her ex-husband was gifted the corner of the bar in 2003, when the MGC underwent a redevelopment, thanks to his work with Variety Australia. The charity auctioned off the remaining six pieces of the bar.
But it was no walk in the park to fit the corner of history in the home. The family dug underground and created a downstairs rumpus area – which cost about $60,0000 to build – to showcase the bar.
“It’s a special piece of history and has been a hit with birthdays – we had a lot of parties down there,” Ms Herbert said.
Stockdale & Leggo Epping director Anthony D’Ambros said the home was the perfect fit for sports enthusiasts.
“The (estate’s) streets are named after the invincible cricket team: Ponsford, Loxton, McCabe, of course, Bradman,” he said. “There’s Benaud Place and somehow Warne and Whitney got a guernsey.”
Mr D’Ambros said the section of bar had a value of about $50,000 and was well-known as the frosted glass logo was installed upside down – and still is.
“If you’re a sports fan, you’re going to want a piece of the Long Room.”
A pool, spacious floorplan and city skyline views are other highlights of the property, which is set to head under the hammer at 2pm, November 21.
