Popular surf breaks are like part of furniture at a $3.5 million showstopper that’s hit the market at Jan Juc.
The prestige property at 10 Camrose Court hit the market last week and will provide a test for the strength of the top end of the Surf Coast market.
McCartney, Torquay agent Tim Carson said five-bedroom residence at Camrose Court backs onto the Great Ocean Road, from where it offers panoramic views.

Inspection ban on occupied homes shock
“It’s honestly got the best views certainly in Torquay and Jan Juc,” Mr Carson said.
“They are absolutely unprecedented. They’re up on the top of the hill and you would never get sick of looking out.
“You can see the waves rolling in. You can see straight through The Gap. You can see all the way around from Torquay Point to Jan Juc and to Bells.
“On a clear day you can certainly see Cape Schanck, see the Port Phillip Heads lighthouse. It’s certainly a terrific property.”
Mr Carson said the owners had spent the past six weeks preparing the property for sale.
“They’re a local couple who have been here for quite some time,” Mr Carson said.
“The kids are off their hands and they’re now looking to downsize and they’ve built an absolutely magnificent property.”
Price hopes are $3.3 million to $3.5 million.
Built over two levels, the house offers a downstairs guest suite and rumpus room with a kitchenette that opens to an outdoor paved seating area.
Upstairs has the main bedroom including ensuite with a freestanding bath, his-and-her walk-in wardrobes and a third living room that could double as a reading room or study with direct access to the outdoors and in-ground pool and spa.
Three more bedrooms create a second wing to the house, book-ending the open-plan living, dining and kitchen with a full-sized balcony to the west, a decked outdoor entertaining domain with the in-ground pool with a waterfall, a fire pit and manicured gardens.
“It’s on a 3350sqm block so plenty of space, really well landscaped, they’ve just finished everything off in the last month to six weeks to get it all ready,” Mr Carson said.
“It’s been painted on the outside, painted on the inside, it’s just ready for somebody to move straight in to be honest.”
Mr Carson said there has been a couple of initial inquiries, but he expected the campaign would last some time.
“The owners know it could take a bit of time to sell but there are people out there. They aren’t in any desperate hurry, they’re just waiting for that right buyer to come along.”
