$1m plan for five-bedroom Mount Duneed home to help people sleeping rough
How Vinnies’ CEO Sleepout’s top money raiser has created a five-bedroom home at Mount Duneed to raise big dollars to support people sleeping rough.
entrepreneur and top homelessness charity fundraiser Chris Christofi wants to turn a Geelong home into around $1m to help countless people in need.
Mr Christofi’s property investment and wealth management firm Reventon is donating the entire proceeds from the sale of a new family home to Vinnies to help the homeless.
The two-storey house at 273 Boundary Rd, Mount Duneed, is expected to fetch close to $1m when it goes to auction on December 8.

The five-bedroom residence offers three bathrooms, three separate living areas and a luxury kitchen stacked with stone benches and stainless steel appliances.
Among the living zones is a formal lounge and a cozy family room, plus a media or games room.
An outdoor area also features a low-maintenance garden and a covered patio in the north-facing back yard.
The 448sq m property comes landscaped.
The project was devised through the Brick by Brick Charity Build, where Reventon has acquired the land and partnered with Hermitage Homes to create the five-bedroom residence.
Mr Christofi said every cent raised through the auction would go to Vinnies as he’d raised enough already to cover the cost of developing the home.
“Every cent goes towards the charity, because I’ve already raised enough money and paid it off in full,” he said.
Mount Duneed’s proximity to essential amenities and vibrant community atmosphere were key selection criteria for locating the home, but it was also a great place to invest, Mr Christofi said.
“I’m selling to my clients in the area so I’ve done a lot of research. I chose it because it was an emerging area, where I knew that I’ll get great capital gains.”
Homelessness remains a pressing issue across Australia, with more than 122,000 people facing housing insecurity, especially challenging in Victoria due to rising living costs and a significant housing shortage.
A Vinnies spokesman said the project would go toward essential services.
“Just $75 can feed a family for a day; the funds raised from this home will make a huge difference for many struggling Australians,” the spokesman said.
Kay & Burton Brighton auctioneer Matthew Pillios will auction the property, which has been listed for sale with McGrath Armstrong Creek agent Sam Parsons.
