Madonna buys The Weeknd’s lavish Californian house for $25.3 million
Global icon Madonna has just splashed out a whopping $25 million for fellow music star The Weeknd’s LA house — which comes with tonnes of cool features including a trippy disco garage.
Madonna has shelled out a whopping $25.3 million (US$19.3m) for The Weeknd’s sprawling California estate.
The “Blinding Lights” singer first listed the Hidden Hills home last June for $32.8 million — before the property got a $7.9 million price cut.

The 31-year old initially bought the 1,160 sqm mansion in 2017 for $23.9 million (US$18.2m), property records show.
Madonna, 62, closed the deal on April 9, according to The Post.
One of the biggest selling points of the house to revheads and party fanatics is the five-car garage, which is decked out like a disco with LED lighting strips embedded into the high-gloss floor.
The outdoor living space features a heated dining terrace, a zero-edge swimming pool, spa and a pool house.
The huge property itself, which boasts seven bedrooms and 9.5 bathrooms, sits on nearly three acres of grassy lawns and hillsides and is surrounded by a thicket of trees for ultimate privacy.

Features of the home include an entry hall with a double-height ceiling and a two-storey window wall, an expansive chef’s kitchen, and an entertainer’s bar.
Large doors open to multiple terraces which boast views of the pool, spa and cabana area.
Other amenities include dual master suites, an office, a wine room, fitness studio, big home theatre, spacious barn, and a full basketball court.
The main house holds seven bedrooms, while the guesthouse has a further two bedrooms.

While the “Material Girl” is plunking down a big chunk of her fortune on the house, The Weeknd, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, owns a $27.6 million penthouse in Los Angeles neighbourhood of Westwood. He also recently renewed his lease on a $79,000 per month penthouse in New York City’s Tribeca area.
Madonna previously had moved into a 58-acre farm in Bridgehampton in 2015 following complete reconstruction. She also has properties in London and a penthouse in Manhattan.
