A Gold Coast condominium owned by the late Shafston College founder Keith Lloyd comes complete with designer furnishings, original artwork and chandeliers.
The lavishly decorated ground-floor apartment within the Imperial Hotel — formerly Palazzo Versace — has been listed for sale via an expressions of interest campaign with Lucy Cole Prestige Properties.
Mr Lloyd, a former shipbuilder and colourful Queensland business identity, died in 2023 aged 85.
The three-bedroom, three-bathroom Main Beach condo reflects the late owner’s flamboyant style, with crystal chandeliers hanging from coffered ceilings over marble and parquetry floors, while an entertaining terrace leads onto a private heated pool.
Ms Cole said the new owner would also have access to 24-hour security and room service, provided by the hotel concierge, as well as am 18m marina berth with ocean access.
A longtime friend of Mr Lloyd’s, Ms Cole said he had entertained a who’s who of celebrities and corporate identities at the property.
“Keith kept coming back here because it was his own private retreat and it absolutely oozes Versace,” Ms Cole said.
“He did know a lot of identities and he’d have people here because it had a wonderful entertaining area, so they’d all come and visit and they might have drinks here in the condo and then venture over the boat.”
Other past and present condo owners at The Imperial Hotel included Clive Palmer, Luxe Listings Sydney agent D’Leanne Lewis, Con Makris and Geoffrey Edelsten.
Ms Cole said Celine Dion and Rod Stewart had also previously “shown interest” in listings there.

She said the apartment was listed without a price as it was negotiable depending on what furniture and other items the buyer wanted included.
“It is just too hard to put a price on it. The family wants it sold but it is such a unique piece of real estate because is has such exquisite pieces,” Ms Cole said.
“Some people might want that but others might want a black canvas.
“There are a couple of other condos for sale but they are more to the hotel standard and don’t compare to this.”
Ownership by way of a 999-year leasehold means investors don’t pay stamp duty, with several holding more than one of the hotel’s 72 condos.
A 46m superyacht owned by Mr Lloyd, currently docked at Marina Mirage, is also listed with a price tag of $7.95m as part of the estate sale.
