At just over 280 sq m, the loft features four bedrooms, three-and-a-half bathrooms — and an enormous (for New York standards) 160 sqm roof deck.

Some of the most eye-catching interior details include a great room with a gas fireplace, an open chef’s kitchen, whitewashed wide-plank oak floors, 4m-tall ceilings and lots of built-in shelving for storage and display.

In 2004, the ‘Mare of Easttown’ star purchased the penthouse with her former husband, the director Sam Mendes, for $5 million. After the couple divorced, the actress bought out Mendes’ ownership for $2.15 million in 2012.

Winslet now spends most of her time with her third husband, Edward Abel Smith — billionaire Richard Branson’s nephew — at a historic estate outside London that she bought in 2011, according to Variety.
