Kamala Harris’ secret plan after Donald Trump’s election win exposed
Kamala Harris is reportedly ready to make her next move after losing the US presidential race to Donald Trump.
Kamala Harris is reportedly eyeing a New York City apartment after she leaves her official residence in Washington D.C.
The US Vice President’s husband Doug Emhoff toured a luxury $US20,000 ($A32,000)-a-month three-bedroom pad at the Park Loggia condo building on New York’s Upper West Side last week, Page Six reports.
A source told the outlet that the Second Gentleman arrived at the property with a “convoy of SUVs and a phalanx of Secret Service” and “the missus was missing”.
According to the Park Loggia’s website, the swanky residence has a wealth of amenities, with a “white-glove greeter” at the front entrance.
Additional perks include a spacious communal rooftop area with Central Park views, a fitness centre and yoga studio, a game room, a conference room, a private dining room, and a golf simulator.
No word yet if the power couple plan to take the apartment.

‘Hate’: Ivanka lifts lid on leaving Donald Trump
A second insider told Page Six that the pair “were looking to be bi-coastal.”
A third source said that the soon-to-be-former VEEP and her spouse intend for Los Angeles to continue to be their base when they leave Number One Observatory Circle this week, but conceded that Mr Emhoff is searching for homes in the Big Apple where his daughter Ella lives.
The 25-year-old artist and fashion designer is based in Bushwick, Brooklyn.
Ms Harris, who lost the 2024 presidential election to Republican candidate Donald Trump, will end her four-year run as vice president on January 20, when J.D. Vance will take over the role.

‘Many millions’: Donald Trump’s big win over Kamala Harris
While serving as President Joe Biden‘s VP, Ms Harris and her husband lived rent-free in a property on the grounds of the U.S. Naval Observatory, which has long been used as the official residence of the vice president and their families.
According to Realtor, the only property currently in their real estate portfolio is a large home in Brentwood, California, which Emhoff purchased for $US2.7 million back in 2012, before he and Ms Harris tied the knot in 2014.
The house is in an area that was placed under evacuation orders as a result of the Palisades Fire; however, the home is not believed to have sustained damage.
Ms Harris’ spokesperson confirmed that there was nobody in the property at the time — however, People reports that two men were detained by police near the abode after they were spotted in the evacuation zone.
The authorities later confirmed that they found no evidence of a crime, with one source saying: “They likely had no idea where they were.”

As for Ms Harris, it is currently unclear what her plans are for her post-White House career, with sources telling the New York Times in November that she had no “concrete” aims.
“Her friends, aides, and political allies have said in the hours since her loss to former President Donald J. Trump that it is too soon to even contemplate, let alone plan, the next phase of her life, except to say that the 60-year-old Ms. Harris will have plenty of options,” the publication stated.
Soon after her election loss, Ms Harris and her husband travelled to Hawaii, where they holed up in a luxury vacation home for six days, during which she was reported to have been plotting her next political moves, according to Politico.
The outlet stated that those options include a 2028 run at the White House, as well as a 2026 bid for governor of California, her home state.
“She doesn’t have to decide if she wants to run for something again in the next six months,” a former Ms Harris aide told the outlet.
“The natural thing to do would be to set up some type of entity that would give her the opportunity to travel and give speeches and preserve her political relationships.”
