Josh Brolin reveals move to new $11m home
Hollywood star Josh Brolin has opened up about moving back to his hometown.
Josh Brolin opened up about a serious health condition he developed while moving back to his hometown of Montecito, California.
During an appearance on Sirius XM’s “Literally! With Rob Lowe” podcast, the “Avengers” star revealed he contracted a “mild case” of Bell’s Palsy due to his move.
“I got so stressed out about moving here because it represented something very specific to me that I ended up contracting a mild case of Bell’s Palsy,” Brolin said.
Lowe asked if Brolin knew for sure that his medical condition derived from stress, and the actor said, “Absolutely a hundred per cent. There’s nothing else to blame it on.”
According to the Mayo Clinic, Bell’s Palsy is a condition that causes temporary weakness or paralysis in the facial muscles and affects 1 in 60 people during their lifetime.
Symptoms include paralysis of the face, difficulty closing the eyes, inability to smile, hypersensitivity to sound, and loss of taste.

Rare look at star’s unconventional home life
The Hollywood star admitted he was previously diagnosed with Bell’s Palsy in another stressful situation.
“The last time I got Bell’s palsy was 17 years ago when I was thinking about moving back up here,” he said.
“So the two times I’ve gotten Bell’s palsy are when I was thinking about moving up here.”
Lowe asked Brolin if he has been able to get “to the other side” when it comes to connecting Montecito with certain memories, and he explained that “all these good memories are starting to come up.”
Brolin said, “I’m like, wow, I remember when I was on Biltmore, we’re down in Butterfly. Was it Miramar?
“All these great things. So all these things are popping out of the ground.
“My childhood wasn’t as severe as I kind of illustrated it to be. Which we do anyway, as writers and storytellers, we make everything more dramatic and more severe.
“And not that it wasn’t, because I think it was. But, all the other stuff came too, and it’s been really nice.”

The Marvel alum purchased a $US7.1 million ($A11.3 million) farmhouse in Santa Barbara, California, last year after a few years living in Atlanta.
Built in 1939, the six-bedroom getaway features a spacious layout with multiple living areas and a large kitchen, Realtor reports.
One sitting area has a wall of windows, French doors to the outdoors, coffered ceilings, and space for a dining table.
Meanwhile, the kitchen has black cabinets, terracotta tile flooring, and a vaulted ceiling.
The main bedroom boasts backyard access, a large walk-in closet, and a sitting area.
Out back, there’s a guesthouse, a riding arena, an aviary, and more patios than we can count.
The guesthouse, which was converted from a barn, features terracotta flooring, high ceilings, and stone walls.
The coastal estate sits at the base of the Santa Ynez Mountains. It’s a short walk to Montecito’s Upper Village, and a short drive to Ojai, Miramar Beach, and Stearns Wharf.
Brolin lives in the property with his wife, Kathryn Boyd, and their daughters, Westlyn and Chapel.
The “Goonies” star was previously married to Alice Adair, who he has two adult children with, Trevor and Eden.
He also was married to Diane Lane in 2004, but the marriage ended in 2013.
